Giraffes have a number of interesting traits: an ambling walk, a very long, prehensile tongue used as a browsing tool, an inability to drink or feed at ground level without bending or straddling the forelegs, and horns of solid bone covered by skin. The tallest mammal in the world is known for it's very long legs and neck. Giraffes drink every few days when water is available. |
