A group of eight unsuspecting hikers converged on Yosemite Valley to demonstrate their athletic prowess climbing Half Dome. The trail to Half Dome and back is 17 miles plus with over 4,000 ft elevation gain. The team completed the loop in one sun-up to sun-down day. Participants on this adventure were Joe Lojko (team captain with gooch problems), Kevin Freedman (hiking rookie), Susan Maeder (legs like a machine), Lisa Tomsheck (harder than a Marathon), K.C. Tomsheck (take the hardway), Mark Tomsheck (Slow and steady), Cheryl Lojko (afterguard), and Alex Tomsheck (barely awake with gooch problems). The hike took place on Saturday, September 17, 2005. |
