Okaukuejo (map) is the main administrative camp of the Etosha National Park, and was officially opened for tourists in October 1957. Research and management of nature conservation in the park is directed from the Ecological Institute stationed in Okaukuejo. Okaukuejo provides accommodations and other facilities for tourists.
